The Smiths may be longtime Charlestonians, but the Holy City certainly isn’t the only place that shows an appreciation for their art.

Last Thursday, the four family members traveled down to St. Simons, Georgia for a special night in their honor—the opening of a dual show between the Parker Gallery and the Glynn Art Association. Photographs from Tripp and paintings from Shannon and Jennifer adorned the walls of Glynn’s gallery, and Betty’s paintings were hung at the Parker Gallery. Their work will be exhibited throughout March in a show entitled “The Family Smith: Betty Anglin Smith and her Children’s View of the Coastal Lowcountry.”

Beginning in April, all of the exhibited works will be found at the Parker Gallery.
