Update (8/28/13) – this workshop has been postponed until next year – if this sounds like something you would be interested in, fill out the contact form and in the comment section just note ‘workshop‘ and you will be put on a mailing list for any workshops given through the gallery, including this rescheduled trip to Santorini!
Shannon Smith Hughes will be traveling to Santorini, Greece to teach a workshop, along with artist Laurie Meyer, October 15 – 22, 2013. This is a great opportunity to work closely with these artists. This Workshop is open to painters of all levels. Whether you are a novice just learning to mix color, or a professional needing advanced problem solving, Laurie’s and Shannon’s individualized instruction will address needs at your level and push you to the next step in your personal development. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, this workshop is sure to be enlightening. The focus is “The Color of Light and Shadow in Santorini”. This ideal location is just part of the package. The price includes accommodations, all meals and daily wine tasting, as well as a farewell dinner. You will be situated in the heart of everything with many options of painting subjects at your disposal. This workshop gives you time to check out Santorini and all it has to offer, take some great photographs to use at a later date, and get a good deal of time in painting.
Like I said… an incredible opportunity!
There are two preferred hotels: For standard accommodations, Hotel Nissos Thira and for deluxe accommodations the Hotel Atlantis (based on availability). Details are on the Enrollment Form.
If you are seriously thinking about this workshop, don’t put it off, enroll today! “Enrollment requests are processed on a first-received basis. Due to enrollment limitations we may not be able accept all requests for enrollment.” For more information, check out Toscana Americana’s website, and if you’re ready for this chance of a lifetime, here is the ENROLLMENT FORM.
Did you realize that Santorini was listed as “World’s Best Trip” in the 2011 edition of Travel + Leisure magazine? Can you imagine the world’s best trip, combined with art instruction that will take your paintings to the next level? Absolute perfection!
Back in January, Stacy Huggins from The Art Mag interviewed Shannon (with a mention of the workshop in Santorini), a nice article!
Anglin Smith Fine Art looks forward to assisting you with your next artwork endeavor, until next time…
