The sky represents different things to people. The dictionary describes it as the region of the clouds or the upper air - or the upper atmosphere of the earth. My 6-year-old daughter defines it as “heaven-where her daddy lives”. Some frequent flyers may describe it as their highway. Scientist may describe it as endless possibilities. Most artists describe it as forever changing inspiration. Artists find compositions in the shapes which clouds create. They find peace in the bright light that warm sunsets cast on buildings or reflect in our oceans, rivers and streams. While Betty may exaggerate, and push the colors in her dramatic depiction of skies- we all know those colors are present there.
